Born Hillary Rodham was born October 26, 1947 in Illinois. After marrying historic candidate Bill Clinton she served as first lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001. From 2001 until 2009 she served as senator of New York. In 2008 she lost the Democratic Nomination to Barack Obama. In 2009 she became the 67th United States Secretary of State, and Hillary left office in 2013. New York is listed as her home state.
